Job Description:
We have a unique and rewarding position available for a seasoned IT Support Technician & Project Coordinator professional in the Commercial market space. This will entail providing end-user support for customers on VoIP phone systems, Camera Systems, Security Systems, Access Control Systems, and over all PC desktop support, including switches, network firewalls, and all related network equipment for data and VoIP infrastructures. This role will provide technical assistance to customer inquiries, either by phone or email, by answering customer questions, diagnosing issues and providing resolutions. Additional duties and responsibilities will include acting as the Project Lead on new installations. Functions include determining the technical needs of the project, setting expectations with the customer, working with the field technicians, inside sales team, and coordinating scheduling onsite to ensure a successful product and service installation.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provides technical assistance to customer inquiries, either by phone or email
- Serving as the first point of contact for support within the organization
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify client’s issues
- Develop and implement technical procedures effective in quickly addressing customers’ issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on phone systems, camera systems, access control systems, and networking components.
- Educate clients on procedures for resolving or preventing recurrence of a technical problem
- Instructs users with regards to the use of equipment, software and manuals.
- Modifies, troubleshoots, and accomplishes minor repairs of network hardware and software components – i.e. VoIP phone systems, Access Control systems, Camera Systems.
- Schedules onsite service calls for the field technicians on any major hardware problems for correction.
- Explain and provide IT solutions to customers in non-technical and comprehensible terms
- Act as liaison between the IT support team of an organization and our customers
- Offer recommendations to customers looking to purchase new equipment or replace existing ones
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and project implementation plans.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
Required Job Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years’ proven experience and success in a similar role.
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in computer science, networking, or programming, or equivalent certifications in the information technology computer science field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and versed in providing IT solutions to address the needs of customers
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, internal team members, field technicians, and manufacturer support teams
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and follow-up on various support tickets and projects simultaneously
- Understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues with experience in VoIP phone system, camera systems, access control systems, and networking components
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects. Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team effectively
- Train customer’s and explain technical information to non-technical people.
- Ability to lead projects from requirement definitions through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and project implementation plans
- The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional client service required
